Thin Ice

This is in regard to your article "INTIX Confab May Chip "Ice' " (Jan. 29). While the International Ticketing Association (INTIX) is on record as opposing scalping, there are many more items of interest to the 1,000 hard working, honest professionals who attended the 20th Anniversary Conference & Exhibition. You write that financial controls was one of the "key" topics discussed at the conference. There were 36 various workshops of which financial controls was one, and scalping or "ice" was not important to the topic. INTIX has never stated that "ice" is what raises Broadway ticket prices "higher and higher each year."

Broadway ticket prices, and in fact ticket prices throughout the world, keep rising for a number of reasons, but scalping is not one of them.
