Theatre professionals in the United States and their counterparts in Russia and Eastern and Central Europe will, for a second time, receive the opportunity to travel in the name of creative exchange and artistic partnership. These grants (ranging from $1,000-$2,000) are given by the Theatre Communica-tions Group, in conjunction with The International Theatre Institute Travel Grants, and funded by the Trust for Mutual Understanding. Their purpose is to enable theatre artists, administrators, and educators to travel overseas and share ideas, experience each other's cultural traditions, learn different contemporary theatre techniques, and identify potential partners for future work.
Applications must be postmarked by Thurs., Feb. 15; travel supported by these grants must be completed between Mon., Apr. 16 and Mon., Oct. 15, 2001.
