Bobby Zero, by Los Angeles playwright Maurice Chauvet, is a
satirical look at both bohemia and advertising. The title character(Philippe Chang), a spoken-word artist, finds his skills far more useful and profitable at an advertising agency, where his boss Jack Weatherby (John Cady), preaches a gospel of capitalistic nihilism. His long-suffering
girlfriend (Candice Rose & Gudrun Giddings) refuses to come out of their Hollywood apartment until she's famous and deals with the outside world only through a love-struck postman (Oscar OrlandoTorres) and a surfing delivery boy
(Mark Collier). Bobby's best friend (Mark Walker) is an aspiring novelist writing a very long novel about a young man writing a very long novel.
