Shakespeare's timeless tale of mistaken identity and misplaced matrimony is brought to new life by the Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre.
Vit Horejs and his master marionetteers present a "tea-tray production." This exciting art form brings three live puppeteers and 22 8-inch authentic (some over a century old) Czech-made marionettes cavorting in the sand, bathing in champagne, and using the wooing words of William Shakespeare (adapted by this century's master of Bohemian rhapsodies, Vit Horejs).
March 6-16. Thurs.-Sat. at 8:00 pm & Sunday at 3:00 pm at the 5C Cultural Center, 68 Avenue C at East 5th Street. Tickets: $13 ($9 for children under 12); Call SmartTix at 206-1515 or www.SmartTix.com.
