Sometimes there's such consistency in a show it's difficult to know just what to say other than, "Gee, that was good, all of it."
The young heroes and heroines of Charles Dickens' novels are invariably subjected to terrible trials and tribulations, but until now nobody ever suggested that the characters enjoyed it.
In the end, it's just a pity that these talented, versatile performers occasionally feel stranded in a show that has so little dramatic heft.
