NYMF Announces New Musicals

The New York Musical Theater Festival announced today 11 new musicals to be presented at this year's fest. Set to take place Sept. 27-Oct. 17 around Manhattan, the shows will be performed alongside Next Link Project productions, NYMF's primary writer service program. In its seventh year, the festival will host a Developmental Reading Series and other special events. This year's new musicals include:

"Bloodties" by Ned Massey
"Fingers and Toes" by Logan Medland
"History of War" book by Chip Zien, music by Deborah Abramson, lyrics by Amanda Yesnowitz,
"Nighttime Traffic" by Alex Wyse
"Pandora's Box" book by Maria S. Schlatter, music and lyrics by Glen Roven
"Shine! The Horatio Alger Musical" book by Richard Seff, music by Roger Dean Anderson, lyrics by Lee Goldsmith
"Show Choir! – The Musical" by Donald Garverick and Mark McDaniels
"Trails" book by Christy Hall, music by Jeff Thomson, lyrics by Jordan Mann
"Trav'lin" book by Allan Shapiro and Gary Holmes, music and lyrics by J.C. Johnson and friends
"Vote for Me: A Musical Debate" by Scott Elmegreen and Drew Fornarola
"Without You" by Anthony Rapp, featuring music and lyrics by Jonathan Larson.
