Casting 2014-15 Media Theatre season, which includes: "The Addams Family" (Andrew Lippa, music-lyrics; Rick Elice and Marshall Brickman, book; Rehearsals begin Sept. 2; runs Sept. 24-Nov. 2); "Les Miserables" (Claude-Michel Schonberg, music; Alain Boublil & Herbert Kretzmer, lyrics; Claude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil, book; Rehearsals begin Oct. 27; runs Nov. 19-Jan. 11, 2015); "The Miracle Worker" (William Gibson, writer; Rehearsals begin Jan. 12; runs Jan. 28-Feb. 15, 2015); "Ghost the Musical" (David A. Stewart & Glen Ballard, music; Bruce Joel Rubin, David A. Stewart & Glen Ballard, lyrics; Bruce Joel Rubin, book; Rehearsals begin Feb. 9; runs March 24-29, 2015); "Hello Dolly" (Jerry Herman, music-lyrics; Michael Stewart, book; Rehearsals begin March 23; runs April 15-May 17, 2015).

Gomez Addams

Morticia Addams
Female, 40-59, Soprano. In shape, attractive, leggy, the strength of the family, an easy comedic actress with a sexy, dry wit

Uncle Fester
Male, 40-59. Family member who serves as the musical's narrator, larger than life, an energetic, joyous, child-like presence

Wednesday Addams
Female, 18-25. Attractive, in shape girl who has the same dry wit & sensibility of her mother, finds love with a normal boy (Lucas)

Female, 50+. Feisty 102-year-old woman, fun and quirky, but don’t mess with her; need a comedic actress with strong character vocals

Pugsley Addams
Male, 11-15,. Young actor, plays 12 years old, a charming, funny, husky boy who loves being tortured by his sister

Male, 30+, any ethnictiiy. Very tall, the Addams butler who knows & sees all, speaks in moans and groans; need a character actor with low bass vocals.

Mal Beineke
Male, 40-50. Stuffy father of Lucas and exasperated husband to his rhyming wife, Alice, at one time was a follower of the Grateful Dead

Alice Beineke
Female, 35-45. Mother of Lucas, devoted to her family; puts aside her own desires, in shape, quirky, often speaks in rhyme

Lucas Beineke
Male, 18-25, any ethnicity. Caucasian male, attractive, in shape young man. Fell in love with Wednesday Addams. Plans to marry her

Jean Valjean

Helen Keller
Female, 9-11, Caucasian. Deaf blind mute, trapped in her own world, unable to speak, hear, or see. Is almost not human as she has been blind & deaf

Captain Arthur Keller:
Male, 40-50, Caucasian Helen’s father

Kate Keller:
Female, 28-38, Caucasian, Helen’s mother who is tormented by Helen’s perceivably insurmountable disability. Seeks to please Helen in order to avoid the tantrums

James Keller:
Male, 18-25, Caucasian Helen’s half-brother, son of the captain, described as indolent, sees Helen as mentally defective and believes it best she be put in an asylum

Aunt Ev:
Female, 40-60, Any ethnicity. Helen’s aunt, a talkative, opinionated woman who serves as the catalyst for the Kellers’ contact with the Perkins School for the Blind

Male, 40-55, Any ethnicity. Annie’s counselor at the Perkins Institution for the Blind, a dear & kind man who is very fond of Annie, serves as a mentor & friend
