Production Description

Seeking the best actor in NYC to participate in the 30-Second Slam at the Manhattan Monologue Slam.

ONE LUCKY 30 SECOND SLAM PERFORMER THAT NIGHT WILL WIN AN IPAD COURTESY OF JOHN PALLOTTA ACTING STUDIO.

Coordinator states: "Here is the confirmed industry panel looking for undiscovered talent. Perform live in front of Brette Goldstein (casting director; projects with A&E, Bravo, USA, VH1, and The Ensemble Theatre), Jenn Lederer (president and talent manager of Merging Artists Management, and accredited TMA talent manager; Merging Artists’ actors have been seen on 'Law & Order SVU, 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Nurse Jackie,' 'Louie,' 'The Good Wife,' and 'Royal Pains'), Erica Ash (actress, writer, producer, original 30- Second Slammer, starred on 'MadTV' and 'Scary Movie 5;' visit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWz386RahPc), and Jimmy Martin (writer, actor, producer from Mayamo Jimmy Productions. Voted 'Best Showcase Show for Actors' by Backstage readers."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Runs Oct. 7, 7 p.m. and ongoing the first Monday of each month at The Slipper Room, 167 Orchard St. (bet. Rivington & Stanton Sts.) in NYC.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

No pay. $9 for tix online via www.ticketfly.com/purchase/event/382843; $10 at the door. No drink minimum. Copy provided via YouTube). Coordinator's note: "By performing in the 30-Second Slam, you qualify to participate in the first set where you get to perform a full three-minute monologue in a future show."
