Production Description

Seeking particpants for A Class Act NY's Broadway Camps, which will be held in both Long Island and New Jersey. Company states: "Camp ACA is a one-week Broadway camp that has kids clamoring to come back each summer. Campers take workshops with multiple Broadway actors throughout the week. Workshops include: Musical Theater Technique, On-Camera Technique, Broadway Dance, Vocal Training, Intro to Shakespeare, Intro to Stage Combat, and Intro to Stage Make-up. Campers also see a Broadway matinee and have a 'talk back' with actors after the show! At the end of the week, New Jersey campers make their 'Off-Broadway' debut in a final performance at an exciting theater in the heart of the Great White Way, and Long Island campers make their debut at the JCC’s state-of-the-art 200 seat theater. During lunch break, Broadway actors visit with campers to answer questions and sign autographs!"

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Long Island Camp runs Aug. 19-23, 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (with early drop off option) at Sid Jacobson JCC, 300 Forest Dr., Roslyn, NY. New Jersey Camp runs Aug. 19-23, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at JCC of Central New Jersey, 1391 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains, NJ.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Long Island Camp costs $695 for JCC members/$770 for non-members. New Jersey camp costs $645 for JCC members/$740 for non-members. Cost includes ticket to the Broadway matinee and transport to and from Manhattan.
