Production Description

Casting "A Dance in the Dark," a short film by a Chapman University graduate student. Synopsis: After a traumatic car crash that ruins his career, an injured dancer is hesitant to go on with his life and return to his passion for dance. His wife meets him in an empty studio after a class he taught and tries to convince him to dance with her again. Reluctantly and cautiously, he caves to the pleas of his beloved wife. When she challenges him to continue dancing and pursue his dancing career once more, he admits that he doesn’t dance anymore because he can’t dance without her. She disappears. She was killed in the car accident, and he is left alone, only to see her as a ghost. She reappears, stating that now he is healed, it’s time to move on and continue dancing. She leaves him with the decision to face the music. With her words ringing through his head, he releases his emotion through the music and learns to live again through his dance.
