Casting and seeking crew for A Noise Within's 2014-15 season. Season includes "The Tempest" (rehearsals begin Aug. 5, runs Sept. 13-Nov. 22; Timothy Douglas, dir.), "The Importance of Being Earnest" (rehearsals begin Aug. 19, runs Sept. 27-Nov. 22; Michael Michetti, dir.), "Dance of Death" (rehearsals begin Sept. 16, runs Oct. 18-Nov. 23; Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, dirs.), "Figaro" (rehearsals begin Jan. 27, 2015, runs Mar. 7-May 10, 2015; Bart DeLorenzo, dir.), and "Julius Caesar" (rehearsals begin Feb. 17, 2015, runs March 28-May 8, 2015; Geoff Elliott and Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, dirs.).

The Importance of Being Earnest:
Director: Michael Michetti

John Worthing, J.P. – A seemingly respectable gentleman that lives a double life. John goes by the nickname “Jack” in the country, where he lives responsibly as the head of his country estate. In London, he goes by “Ernest”, and lives as a libertine. In order to escape to the city more regularly, he has invented a wild brother named “Ernest” that he must get out of trouble.

Algernon Moncrieff – A witty, idle bachelor. Best friend to John (whom he knows as Ernest), cousin to Gwendolen, and nephew to Lady Bracknell. He pretends to be John’s “brother”, Ernest, in order to get closer to Cecily.

Gwendolen Fairfax – the sophisticated object of John’s affections. She is in love with John, whom she believes is named Ernest. She says she will not marry a man if he is not named Ernest.

Cecily Cardew – John’s ward. She is the granddaughter of the man who found and adopted John. She is fascinated by the
escapades of John’s (fake) brother Ernest,

Count Almaviva, governor of Andalusia and head of the household
Countess Almaviva, the Count’s wife and friend to Suzanne
Marceline, housekeeper that is in love with Figaro (not realizing that he is her son)
Antonio, Suzanne’s Uncle, Fanchette’s father, and gardener of the castle
Dr. Bartholo, a doctor (unwittingly Figaro’s father)
Cherubin, the count’s young courier and the countess’s godson; he is constantly falling in love (historically played by a female)
Bridoson, a judge
Doublemain, Bridoson’s clerk
Bazile, the Countess’s music master
Fanchette, Antonio’s daughter

Julius Caesar:

Antony, Caesar’s friend.
Brutus, Caesar’s friend and a strong supporter of the republic. He is worried that Caesar desires to dissolve the Roman Republic to become the supreme ruler of Rome.
Portia, Brutus’s wife
Casca, Roman dignitary who disapproves of Caesar’s growing power.
Octavius, Caesar’s adopted son. Next in line for the throne.
