Role Description

"Anything Goes" Male Roles: roles include--Billy Crocker: mid-20s to mid-30s, young broker employed by Elisha Whitney, boards the ship without a ticket in pursuit of his true love, to avoid being caught he must adopt a series of disguises, attractive, charming, and funny, must sing, dance, and act extremely well, excellent comic timing and a gorgeous tenor voice; Moonface Martin: 40s+, hapless gangster, Public Enemy #13 (but trying to move up on the list), exceptional comedic actor who sings; Lord Evelyn Oakleigh: late 30s-40s, wealthy, often bumbling Englishman, engaged to Hope, loves America and is fascinated by its slang but doesn’t always get it right, excellent British accent and superior comedic skills required, must be comfortable singing; Elisha Whitney: 50s+, Wall Street tycoon, Billy’s boss, upper-class blowhard, excellent comic actor who can carry a tune; Captain: 40s+, military man and captain of the ship, mature, serious, and authoritative, must sing, baritone; Purser: 30s, the captain’s nervous lackey, must sing/dance well, tap skills a plus; Luke and John: 20s-30s, characters are of Asian descent, Luke is a mischievous gambler, John is a timid worrier, strong comedic skills needed, must tap and sing well.
