Role Description

Still Photography Models: (Lead) to act in photos, with experience or not, it can be a child actor and his mother in the photo together or friends/ family that are just semi-curious, these pictures do not require acting experience and are quite fun to produce, so it's casual, seeking people who would benefit or enjoy working with an artist on a project, artist may ask you what films or TV shows inspired your ideas of romance (for example). Artist states: "You can pick scenes to re-create for the camera. In some cases its very collaborative--we talk and figure out a cool photograph to make together."

Production Description

Jill Frank, a professor of photography at GSU, is seeking models for an ongoing photo series. Artist states: "[This job does not pay], but actors have found this process useful because they get copies of the images. I ask people to be a part of the process, particularly those with knowledge of film and TV imagery. Often I am re-creating scenes from popular movies and TV shows in everyday situations. My projects change and adapt, but there is usually an element of collaboration [with my models], and I ask 'what film informed your idea of romance?' etc. Often we meet to discuss, then pick a location. Shoots last about 1-2 hours at most, and usually within a month (once the film has been sent out to be processed, then sent back, etc.) I send you digital files of the shoot that you can use for your own purposes. Sometimes, if I work with someone a for a while, I will also provide my photographic services if you need a headshot or a professional photograph of some kind. I am often working on many projects at once and am very flexible."
