Production Description

Casting "B-Boy Blues," the play adapted by James Earl Hardy from his bestselling novel, praised as "the first gay hip-hop love story." Show's debut won the Downtown Urban Theater Festival's Audience Award last month. Synopsis: "When Mitchell (a journalist) and Raheim (a messenger) meet, it's lust at first sight. They hook up—and, to the shock of their close friends, get hooked on and fall in love with each other."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearsals begin in May; equity showcases are June 4-5, & 8, 7 p.m. at HERE Arts Center in NYC; performs June 26, 9 p.m. at DC Black Theatre Festival in DC.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pays Equity members a stipend, nonunion actors a small performance fee, plus travel and lodging to DC will be provided.
