VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE:

The roles of Vanya and Sonia have been cast. All other roles are available.

Masha: female, 50s, Vanya’s sister, glamorous and successful actress who goes gallivanting around the world.
Spike: male, 29, an aspiring actor, sexy, self-absorbed. Masha’s new companion.
Nina: female, 20s, lovely, sincere would be actress, visiting her aunt and uncle next door. Star struck and energetic.
Cassandra: female, any age, probably African American, cleaning lady and soothsayer.

PIANIST OF WILLESDEN LANE:

Lazare Albans: male, 72, Caucasian. A wealthy merchant who just choked on a fish bone and died.
Beatrice Albans: female, 50, African-American, Lazare’s mistress. Mother of Agnes, Maude Lynn, and Odette. Strong willed and strict. She has a history with her past lovers’ mysterious deaths.
Agnes Albans: female, 29, African-American with butter-colored skin. First daughter of Beatrice. In love with a wealthy white man, Ramon Le Pip.
Maude Lynn Albans: female, mid-20s, African-American with white skin. Second daughter of Beatrice. Pious and righteous.
Odette Albans: female, 20, African-American female with brown skin. Third daughter of Beatrice.
Makeda: female, 40, African-American. Servant to Lazare and Beatrice.
La Veuve/Marie Josephine: females, 40s, African-American. La Veuve is a 45 year-old free woman of color and friends with Makeda. Marie Josephine (48 years old) is Beatrice’s sister and is slightly insane and also prophetic.
