Casting and seeking crew for a staged reading of "Birthday Boy," a new sung-through dramatic musical about eight-year-old Johnny Rogers' struggles in an orphanage and his attempts at age 18 to overcome his past and learn how to love and trust again. Part of his struggle arises when his allegiance to his closest boyhood friend stands in the way of a relationship with a young woman.

Rehearses August through early October in Bayside, Queens; staged reading Oct. 19 in NYC.
