Production Description

Casting "Blue Herring," a student film for Pratt Institute. Synopsis: A father's digression into Alzheimer’s leads him to confuse current-day events with memories of his son. Louie, an elderly man, and his only child, Kevin, are shooting off a model rocket when it explodes. Louie, a former engineer, is determined to discover the reason why but this proves impossible as he has suffered memory loss due to Alzheimer’s. When Kevin and Louie attend a dinner party in the city, Louie’s condition worsens and he forgets his own son’s
appearance. Kevin struggles to connect with his father as Louie begins to believe his son is a young boy.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearses in Jan.; shoots for two weekends late Jan.-early Feb. 2014 in NYC.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pays $50-$150 depending on role.
