Diego Gilly, casting dir.

Production Description

Casting "Blunda," a film for the New York Film Academy set in the late 1840's around the time of the Great American Gold Rush in the desert. Producer states: "Our movie inspirations/references are Terry Gilliam's 'Tideland' and Bergman's 'Seventh Seal.' The story is about Frank (55) going through mid-life crisis, who left his family behind promising them a better life. However, in his journey he gets lost in the desert alone and realizes that he will soon die. Stranded, he's finally forced to look back on life, by the help of a mysterious lone ranger(who embodies death to Frank) and learns that the journey was more important than the goal."
