Production Description

JDProductions, the producers of the series "Bound for Broadway," "N.E.W. Musicals," "So You Think You Can Belt," and the 2013 Off B’wy revival of "Let My People Come," is seeking talent for their new series "Bitter Bitches!" as well as talent for “Bound for Broadway,” co-produced and directed by Natalie Wagner. Company states: "A new monthly cabaret show, 'Bitter Bitches' is about celebrating villains, vixens, and the misunderstood women and men characters in the theater and pop/rock genre. 'Bound for Broadway' is great for singers who are looking for a professional setting to explore new material and obtain video footage for their reels. JDProductions is the premiere weekly cabaret showcase running and is not affiliated with any other showcases or venues and is proud to offer a different type of showcase and cabaret shows in NYC, boasting a live entertainment emcee, free professionally-edited videos for the performers, and a well-rehearsed diverse performance opportunity alongside talented industry professionals and composers, as well as high industry turn-out."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearses weekly in NYC according to when talent is cast.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Performers will be required to sell tickets ranging from $10-$15 each, plus an accompanist fee ($50) is required for tech, show, and music rehearsals. Some pay (ticket sales reimbursement), plus free video copy provided. The producers are seeking both union and nonunion performers but no union contract is currently planned. Performers should check with their union before accepting any work.
