Production Description

Seeking participants of all skill levels for A Class Act's NY's Broadway Camp. Artistic director states: "Broadway star Sarah Amengual (Maria in 'West Side Story') is our Broadway instructor for the week. Camp ACA is a one-week Broadway camp that has kids clamoring to come back each summer. Campers take workshops with multiple Broadway actors throughout the week that include: Musical Theater Technique, On-Camera Workshop, Broadway Dance, Vocal Training, Intro to Shakespeare, Intro to Stage Combat, and Intro to Stage Make-up. Campers also see a Broadway matinee and have a 'Talk Back' with the actors after the show. At the end of the week, campers make their Off-Broadway debut in a final showcase at the JCC’s state-of-the-art 200-seat theater. Every family is allotted three complimentary tickets to the Final Showcase. Cost of camp also includes a free beautiful camp T-shirt. During lunch break, Broadway actors visit with campers to answer questions and sign autographs."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Camp runs Aug. 25-29 (9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with an early drop-off option) at the Sid Jacobson JCC, 300 Forest Dr., Roslyn, NY.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

No pay. Fee: $695 members/$770 non-members.
