Role Description

Yogi Berra: ages into his 80s over the course of the play, short, muscular, big ears, nose, and glasses, born and raised in St. Louis to Italian immigrants, the lovable common man’s poet, with an ear for economy and the occasional grammar-challenged turn of phrase, makes his words count, so when he speaks, people listen, a modest man and selfless player, always eager to give his teammates credit, has a keen sense of justice, one of the many admirable qualities that endears him to friends and fans worldwide.
