Production Description

Jack Fleischer (casting dir.) is casting "Boy," a 30-minute short for Cal Arts to be shot on Super16.

Producer's synopsis: "'Boy' is a experimental coming of age story about a teenage boy, Julian, who is going through a difficult time regaining his footing after an incestuous affair with his stepmother. The film takes place over the course of a summer holiday in which the relationship ends and Julian finds himself in a very lonely and isolated place. Slowly drifting apart from his family, he spends his time roaming the woods. As the camera dwells on details in light and nature, I seek to paint a portrait of a boy in crisis."
