'As Yourself' Synposis

A climax in a broken relationship between an 18 year old girl and her 19 year old boyfriend, Bryan, who’s just been arrested for burglary. The scene takes place in a visiting room in the jail where he is being held. The girl, Delaney, seeks out the truth from her boyfriend, and being unable to find it, breaks up with him in order to protect herself.

'The Problem With Pastries' Synopsis

A story between two roommates, Justin and Kevin, who are dealing with some extreme differences in the way they approach daily tasks. As Kevin tries to manipulate Justin into becoming a desirable roommate, Justin finally takes a stand against Kevin's possessive nature. Tempers erupt over breakfast when Kevin's box of doughnuts becomes a surrogate for the tension between the two roommates.

'Welcome to the Family' Synopsis

Everyone in Chris's family is exceptional at one thing: Baseball. Chris, being adopted, did not inherit this family gift. Now 20 and living on his own, Chris is painting in his apartment when he hears a knock on the door. Opening it reveals his adopted father, Arthur, along with some startling news: Chris isn't really adopted, he just sucks at baseball. Chris struggles to comprehend that his whole life has been a lie, while his father tries to accept Chris as he is, without a single drop of athletic talent in his body.

'It Had to be Jew' Synopsis

Josh Goldstein (19) is trying desperately to prepare his girlfriend, Annie Smith (19) for her first meeting with Josh's religiously conservative parents. Mr. And Mrs. Goldstein have made it very clear to Josh that if he ever dated a non-Jew, they would send him to Rabbi Klaiman for a second circumcision. In between a rock and a hard place, Josh comes up with the idea of giving Annie a Jewish alibi and giving her a crash-course lesson of the basic tenets of Judaism through flash card quizzes (Challah, gefilte fish, Fiddler on the Roof, etc.). However, Annie can’t help but notice the hypocrisy of Josh's pick-and-choose Judaism and how he is willing to lie to and dishonor his parents, while encouraging Annie to learn what it means to be a good Jew.

'10-31' Synopsis

A dramatic story between a barricaded young man and a police crisis negotiator. After Jason, a young man still living at home with no job, stabs his brother in an argument, he locks himself up in his parent’s house in an attempt to hide from the police. Lt. Al Johnson, a veteran police negotiator, is assigned to talk to Jason out of the house before he hurts himself or anyone else.

'Evelyn' Synopsis

James is burned, bruised, and handcuffed to a hospital bed; he's undergoing treatment after his first schizophrenic break. Evelyn, James' schizophrenic hallucination and (seemingly) biggest ally, begs James to let her go and accept the treatment… But is James ready?
