Production Description

Wayfarer Films is casting "Come Find Me," a narrative short based on the story "Loser" by Amy Bender which was featured on NPR's "This American Life." The story centers around a young man with the unique ability to sense lost objects who is hired to find a kidnapped boy. Producer states: "This film has a magical realism quality reminiscent of 'Beasts of the Southern Wild,' but with a darkness akin to Lynne Ramsey. The writer/director has made many award winning shorts, wrote and directed her debut feature in 2009 which premiered at the Santa Barbara Film Festival and won best actress at Newport Film Fest. She is currently writing features for multiple established production companies and making this short to prepare for her second feature."
