FULL CHARACTER BREAKDOWN

SPIN

• Evan- late 30s. One hit wonder, now host of a popular American Idol-esque show

• Makalo- early 20s. Very talented young singer with a young child

• Allison Reynolds- 30s. Jesse's teacher and Evan's love interest

• Jesse- 5-7yrs old. Makalo's very rambunctious child.

• Richard Riddle- 40s-60s. John Lithgow type

• Danny- early 20s. in love with Makalo, a bit obsessive

• Trevor- late teens- early 20s. A dreamy contestant on Evan's show

• Brianna- late teens- early 20s. A contestant on Evan's show. Great comedic timing needed.

• Dave- runs the TV show

• Ensemble- roles of Various ages. All must sing.



MISS SAIGON

• Chris- Tenor, 20 - 30s, Caucasian or African-American. All American Type. Disillusioned and conflicted marine.

• Kim- Belt to E, late teens- 20s, Asian. A young, innocent orphaned Vietnamese woman. Determined, maternal.

• Gigi- Experienced bar-girl, crowned "Miss Saigon."

• The Engineer- Tenor, 35 - 55, Eurasian or other ethnic background. Owns "Dreamland," an after-hours club in Saigon. Charismatic, chameleon, operator, pimp.

• Tam- 3-5 years old, Asian. Kim's very young son. May be played by boy or girl.

• Thuy- Role already cast

• Ellen- Role already cast

• Ensemble- various roles: American GI's of all types, pimps, bar girls, refugees, tourists

• Homeless Woman- Can be aged anywhere between 35-60. African American. Exists 1860s

• Backpacker- 26. Young Man Exists in the present.

• Man with Flask- 30-45. White, wealthy. He exits in the 1936

• Woman in Pink- 31. English. Faded before her time. Exists in 1954

• Civil Rights Marcher- African American. Exists in 1963

• Mother- mid 40s- mid 50s. Middle class. Exits in 1917

• Soldier- 19. Middle Class. Exists in 1917

• Child- 6. Son of the Woman in Pink. Exists in 1954.



GYPSY

• Rose- Role already cast

• Herbie – Role already cast

• Baby June – 7-11 years old, must sing and dance well

• Young Louise- 7-11 years old

• June - early 20's, excellent dancer/singer

• Louise- early-late 20's. Good singer/dancer. Light soprano to big belt. Must be willing to strip.

• Tulsa - early 20's male actor must sing and dance well

• Mazeppa – 30-50yr old stripper. Has to play trumpet. Must be willing to be seen in very little clothing.

• Electra- 30-50yr old stripper. Must be willing to be seen in very little clothing.

• Tessie- 30-50yr old stripper. Potentially dancing on pointe. Must be willing to be seen in very little clothing.

• Newsboys- 8-12yr old boys. Must be able to sing and dance well

• Farmboys - early-late 20's men. Must be able to sing and dance well

BEACHES

• Little Cee Cee- an outrageous looking red haired girl of ten years old. An entertainer. Must sing and act well.

• Little Bertie- a tiny, proper nine year old. Must sing and act well.

• Karen Lewandowski- beautiful nine year old. Great dancer. Acrobatics.

• Cee Cee- bubbly and eccentric. A star.

• Bertie- beautiful and privileged.

• Leona- Cee Cee's mother. Eccentric.

• Rose- Bertie's mother. Elegant and refined.

• Michael- All American, handsome man

• John- a charismatic and attractive director

• Ensemble- various roles for men and women of a variety of ages. All need to act and sing well.



THE THREEPENNY OPERA

• Macheath- 30s-40s. Baritone. Sexy and dangerous, an infamous crook known throughout London for his violent crimes.

• Polly Peachum- 20s. Soprano. Seems innocent at onset but slowly reveals her greedy and darker nature.

• Mr Peachum- 40s-60s. Baritone. Father of Polly, a hypocrite who trusts no one

• Mrs Peachum- 40s-60s. Alto. Mother of Polly

• Jenny Diver- 30s-40s. Mezzo. Prostitute and former lover of Macheath.

• Tiger Brown- 40s-50s. Baritone. London's chief of the police. Torn between responsibility and feelings for his friend Macheath.

• Lucy Brown- 30s. Mezzo. Daughter of Tiger Brown, and Macheath's lover.

• MacHeath's Gang- Jimmy, Chainsaw Bob, Matt of the Mint, Crook-Fingered Jake, Ned, Walt- Various ages, sizes, vocal parts. Also double as other roles.

• Prostitutes- Various ages, sizes, vocal parts. Also double as other roles

• Nick Cutter- A down and out detective.

PRIDE IN THE FALLS OF AUTRY MILL

• Carly- 50, composed and beautiful mother, living with her family in Alpharetta, Georgia

• Chad- 21, attractive quarter back like son of Carly

• Tommy- 26, a lawyer and Carly's oldest son, not as attractive as his younger brother.

• Louie- 53, father, away from home a lot on business.

• Man- late 20s-mid 30s. Highly physical role.
