Production Description
Delaware Theatre Company is casting its upcoming 2013-14 season. Season includes "Any Given Monday" (Rehearsals begin Aug. 13; runs Sept. 4–22), "Lend Me a Tenor" (Runs Oct. 16–Nov. 3.), "The Story of My Life" (Rehearsals begin Nov. 19; runs Dec. 4–22), "The Exonerated" (Rehearsals begin Jan. 28, 2014; runs Feb. 19–Mar. 9, 2014), and "Ain’t Misbehavin’" (Rehearsals begin Mar. 11, 2014; runs Apr. 2–27, 2014).
Breakdown
"Any Given Monday"—Lenny: male, a middle aged school teacher. Mickey: male, Lenny's best friend, a subway worker. Risa: female, Lenny's wife, an event worker. Sarah: female, Lenny & Risa's daughter, a college student and philosopher.
"Lend Me a Tenor"—Tito Morelle: male, world's most renowned opera star and ladies man, spends much of the show passed out. Julia: female, Chairwoman of the Opera House, considers herself a "grande damme." Gloria: female, the opera's ingénue Soprano, a seductive woman and she knows it. Frank the Bellhop: male, ambitious with a sassy attitude.
"The Story of My Life"—Alvin Kelby: male, 35-45, a sensitive, free-spirited man who neglected his career to care for his father; vocal range: B flat2–G flat4. Thomas Weaver: male, 35-45, a successful and charismatic writer who embraced success at the expense of his personal life, Alvin's lifelong best friend; vocal range: B2–G4.
