Production Description

Casting a screwball one-act comedy "Death and Peace at Ten in the Morning," which takes place in a seedy coffee shop in Downtown NYC. From the moment Betty and Norman enter, Sheila the waitress suspects something weird is up. Norman, a lawyer without a client is ready to end his life when Betty, an unemployed editor and his neighbor, runs into him and solicits a promise from him that he won’t do anything until she has a chance to show him the difference between death and peace. Company states: "The Venus Theater Festival, running this year with the Adonis Theater Festival, is a playwright’s contest created uniquely for women (Venus) and men (Adonis) from New York and New Jersey. There are monetary prizes for Best Play, Best Actor and Best Actress."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Runs Mar. 18, 22, and 23 at Cabrini Repertory Theater, 70 Fort Washington Ave., Washington Heights, NYC.
