Director's Statement

"I am an MFA Directing/Screenwriting at Columbia University School of the Arts. Growing up in Texas, I wanted to write a story exploring ranch-life through the perception of a young child. Both a majestic and morbid setting define the tone of the film. It is about a young boy trying to become a man at too young an age by going hunting. In an instant of momentary savagery, he and his father are brought closer together by their innate humanity.

I am extremely excited to make this script come to life. We will be shooting in the beautiful hill country of Texas. Joining my team are two experienced producers from Brazil getting their degree at Columbia University as well. With a crew of international, New York and Austin filmmakers, there will be a wonderfully collaborate and creative environment on set, everyone working together to produce a compelling project. I look forward to hearing from prospective actors."
