Role Description

Stage Manager : paid position/internship, will record the timing of lighting, sound, and set change cues as they are developed, as it relates to the script and the performance; maintain prompt book of all cues, technical notes, blocking and other information pertinent to production; during rehearsals, record all blocking, assure cast members stay on script, have the props and follow blocking; assure the creation, maintenance and accuracy of each production prompt script, running and/or cue sheets, and production check lists for management and archive purposes; generate play’s rehearsal schedule, assure rehearsals run on time; maintain rehearsal reports of each rehearsal; work with Production Manager/Assistant; throughout production, regulate every aspect of the performance by calling the cues for cast and crew, responsible for putting in understudy’s to keep a continuous quality throughout the production; the stage manager will prompt immediate execution of the action and other responsibilities including working closely with director, production manager/assistant, technical director, and production crew.
