Production Description

Casting "Dragon Breath," a student film for New York University. Director states: "One might expect in a fairy tale that there is a princess trapped in a dungeon, guarded by a dragon, waiting to be saved by the prince. But in this story, the dragon is the one who is saved. Dragon is an imaginative young boy, and Princess is his neglectful mother. Princess has trapped herself in her room behind prison bars of empty alcohol bottles, as she hopelessly awaits for her husband—her prince—to return. The story is a chilling drama about how a mother makes her child feel like he's a monster, but it’s told through the whimsical, ingenious eyes of the child—through the eyes of a dragon who realizes he’s not a monster, but a mythical creature with magical powers. Dragon musters the courage to do the unthinkable, as he knows that the real prince who can save the day is not his father—it’s the police."
