Production Description

Hometown Entertainment is casting "Dream Makers," a new reality series featuring individuals who work in or want to work in the movie business. Contestants will have to prove they have what it takes to become part of the best cast & crew in America.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Shoots March-May 2014 in Dallas, TX.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Compensation will be provided for the finalists. Director states: "The studio production takes place in Dallas, TX under the Right to Work laws of Texas. Depending on the final needs of the show both union and nonunion employees could be hired. The show is being budgeted accordingly."

Welcome to Dream Makers

Premise

"Dream Makers" is a new kind of socially interactive, talent contest, reality television show all rolled into one. Director states: "It is for anyone who thinks they have what it takes to be part of making a great movie. So, if you want the opportunity to be in the movie business and be part of the best cast and crew that an audience will choose, this show is for you."

Contestants will be vying for a key position in a movie company. The main cast on Dream Makers will feature contestants in each of these positions: Director, Cinematographer, Production Designer, Composer plus four Actor categories. Each week the contestants will make a pitch video about how they would apply their craft to a section of a script that will become a full length feature film. "Dream Makers" shows the development phase of the movie making process. Each contestant will compete for the top spot in their category of choice. By the end of the season only the best will become part of the team. The rest of the cast and crew will be picked by the directors to build his team. But, the audience will have the final say about who will stay and who will go home and ultimately who gets to be on the best movie making team in America.
