Production Description

Casting "Far East," stories of “forbidden love” told against the backdrop of 1950’s Japan. US Navy Ensign Sparky Watts falls in love with a local Japanese girl. Julia, the captain’s wife, threatens to tell his straight-laced WASP family. Sparky’s bunkmate, Bob, is being blackmailed to provide top-secret information or be “outed.” Social mores of the 1950’s America clash with the seeming exoticism of the Far East.
