Production Description

Seeking performers for "Apollo's Muse," a festival. Producer states: "This innovative event blends the traditional with the modern in a sweeping two-part competition that provides a venue for artists in various ethnic communities to showcase their talents before a mainstream American audience. Whether your performances reflect the influences of popular, modern culture or of legacies tied to tradition, you are welcome to apply. Performers will be divided by experience levels into one of three categories: advanced, intermediate, and basic. The application materials will be reviewed on a rolling basis to choose up to 1000 performers in each category (The Muse of Modeling, Muse of TV, Muse of Film, Muse of Poetry, Muse of Music, Muse of Dance, Muse of Melody, Muse of Theater, and Original Muse) for a minimum of 7000 who will perform before a panel jury in the first round of the event, the International Review, and before an audience in the second round of the event, the Muse Festival."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Applications will be accepted through Sept. 30. International review of applications runs Oct. 1-31; media blitz Nov. 1, 2013-Dec. 31, 2014; talent festival Nov. 1-Dec. 24, 2014; and gala awards ceremony Dec. 20-24, 2014 in Las Vegas.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

A $99 non-refundable entry/registration fee required to participate. All “Top 1000” performers with the largest point totals will receive an honorable mention on the Festival website and will vie for the Festival’s highest honor--to be crowned “Muse” and receive a “Bronze Bricks”, “Silver Bricks” or “Golden Bricks” award.
