Production Description

Casting "Flyin' West." Synopsis: "Flyin’ West" takes place in 1898 in the all African American town of Nicodemus, Kansas. This area of the country was settled thanks to the Homestead Act of 1860, which offered free land to those willing to settle there. About 40,000 African Americans left the south to settle in all African American towns in Kansas. Many of the farms and ranches were run by unmarried or widowed women.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearsals begin Feb. 18; runs March 14-April 6 in Long Beach, CA.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pays: $291 min./wk. Equity SPT Contract.
