The Unit System of Remuneration

All company members of Forever Wild Theatre Cooperative are paid under a unique form of profit sharing called the unit system of remuneration. This is how it works: 50% of all post tax and member benefit revenue for a season placed into the remuneration fund. (The other 50% is invested back into the Cooperative through the working and permanent funds.)

The remuneration fund is disbursed as follows: Each company member earns units for their work for the company throughout the season. The number of units a company member earns are based on a formula: Total hours worked in a season times the average quality points a member receives on their postseason quality evaluations. Quality evaluations are filled out for each company member by each company member reasonably qualified to judge their work for the cooperative (this includes coworkers, supervisors, and subordinates etc.). The amount in the seasonal remuneration fund is then divided by the total number of units earned by all company members to get the value of each unit for that season. Members are then paid the value of each unit they have earned.
