Plot Description

Max, who has a gambling problem, loses a bet to friend and frustrated white rapper, Jonathan Goldstein, that sets in motion a chain of events leading to Jonathan losing his job, Richard and Max losing their business, and faded movie star Corey Bonna-Row-Lawrence about to lose the couch she lives on. Now the four lifelong friends must begin their journey back to semi prosperity one scheme at a time. Much to the chagrin of Richard, who hates that his wife Max fits in as "one of the guys," better than he does. And that Corey Bonna-Row-Lawrence (who is one of the guys) keeps giving sex advice to his 13 year old son, Sam, who's a virgin and no where near mature enough physically or mentally to deal with sex. Living in the San Fernando Valley on unemployment and in denial of the seriousness of their current situation, Richard Marks (no, not the singer), Maxine "Max" Marks, Jonathan Goldstein, and movie star Corey Bonna-Row-Lawrence refuse to start from the bottom believing they will have no problem finding their dream jobs before their unemployment runs out.
