Production Description

Casting "Good Thing." Project description: "Liz needs to get back the one person in her life who loved her, Dean. But when Liz returns home, she finds that he's married to Mary, an ex-speed addict pregnant with his baby, paying for his brother Bobby's speed addiction, and living in squalor. Its not until Liz reunites with her old high school guidance counselor, John Roy, that she sees a way out of her depression. John's wife Nancy had always wanted a child but could never have one, and after John's transgressions last year she's just about done with their marriage. If only they had had a child, John tells Liz, maybe their marriage could have progressed. And that's when Liz gets an idea that might just save everyone: the Roys, the baby, and herself. Good Thing is about young people thrown into adulthood trying to make adult decisions, and adults running away from adulthood and acting like children."
