Production Description

Casting "Home Bound," a 15-20 minute student thesis film for Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University. Synopsis: An Indian girl growing up in Los Angeles faces the challenges of balancing the life she comes from and the life she wants. Her Indian parents have settled down in the U.S. but still retain their culture. Their daughter Sameera finds their cultural values conservative and lives a double life. At home, follows her parents culture and decisions, but outside she is modern, has a boyfriend and is the life of the party. The story follows Sameera as she makes some bad decisions and must deal with the consequences of her actions without facing the wrath of her parents.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearsals begin early Oct.; shoots Oct. 18-20 and 25-28.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

No pay, but DVD copy, meals, and travel reimbursement (gas and mileage) provided.
