Production Description

Casting "If I Did This." Synopsis: Present day. But time shifts. A single set with three defined spaces the actors can move easily between: the front room of Donnie Lawrence’s country house, an upstairs guest bedroom in the same house with stairs going up to it, and Brett Martin’s office in Manhattan.
Editor Brett Martin hires grieving mystery writer Hal Walker to ghostwrite the "story of the century" -- what really happened to Donnie Lawrence's wife. He was tried and acquitted of her murder, but everyone believes he is guilty. When Hal goes to Donnie's house to begin interviewing him, he doesn't expect to meet Donnie's fifteen year old daughter, Miriam, or to become so tangled up in the question of Donnie's guilt (or innocence) that it will require the services of police detective Hayden Quinn to sort things out. Who gets to decide what justice needs to be done? Who gets to tell the story?
