Production Description

Jerry Miller Productions is seeking submissions for the Chicago Premiere of "The Long Walk for Water," adapted from the book "A Long Walk to Water," by Linda Sue Park. The play tells the story of Salva, a member of the Dinka tribe of South Sudan, one of the Lost Boys. The play educates, advocates, and motivates people toward the plight of The Lost Boys and current situation in South Sudan. One of the performances will be a benefit performance for the 150 Lost Boys living in Chicago. The play received accolades for its first production in Oak Park last year. The play is written and directed by Jerry Miller, local actor, director, producer. Musical direction by Dorie Ellzey Blesoff.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Rehearsals begin April 20; runs June 28-30, July 6-8, 12-14, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. in Chicago, IL.
