Production Description

Casting "Illusionarium," a Norwegian Cruise Line production conceived by Jeff Hobson and directed and choreographed by Patricia Wilcox ("Motown"). Synopsis: "Come and witness the magical mysteries of the Illusionarium. Built in the late 1800s by the brilliant Professor Vernon Royce, the Illusionarium and its mesmerizing design is a place of amazement and wonder. Once inside, you’ll enjoy a remarkable entertainment and dining experience while you’re transported to a fantasy world like no other. Along the way, you’ll meet a cast of interesting characters and witness world-class magicians, illusionists and mentalists making this a memorable–and magical–experience for all." Show performs aboard the Norwegian Getaway. Ship ports every week in Miami after seven-day cruises to the Eastern Caribbean.

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations

Contract begins Oct. 28, 2013 (travel to Tampa, FL); rehearsals begin Oct. 29, 2013 in Tampa, FL; travel home Nov. 5, 2013. There is a seven-week unpaid break between rehearsals and boarding the ship. Tech Dec. 28, 2013 on ship in Bremerhaven, Germany; inaugural sail Jan. 14, 2014 (Southampton, Rotterdam, Trans-Atlantic Cruise); arrive in Miami Jan. 27, 2014; contract ends June 2014.

Compensation & Union Contract Details

Pays: $1,000/wk. The producers are seeking both union and nonunion performers for this production, but no union contract is currently planned. Union performers should check with their union before accepting any work.
