Role Description

Glenn Miller: (Lead) one of the most iconic musical figures of the swing era in the 1930’s and 40’s, an American big band leader who inspired the WWII generation with his music, widely regarded as the most popular bandleader of his time, he entertained thousands of US and European troops with such hits as "In The Mood," "Moonlight Serenade," "American Patrol," "String Of Pearls," and "Pennsylvania 6-5000" before his tragic death in 1944; must be 6'0"+ and play the trombone to a good standard. Must be a versatile actor with strong musical sensibilities, and should possess the dominant stage presence and stature required to carry a leading West End Role. A plain look is preferable.
