Role Description

Jacob/Potiphar: (Supporting) baritone, comic character actor-singer doubling in two diametrically opposite roles including Jacob, the loving, but shortsighted father of Joseph who causes the brothers’ jealousy with his unwitting favoritism, and Potiphar, the decidedly "upper crust" Egyptian millionaire with a philandering wife who has eyes for Joseph, an effete comical presence until he is cuckolded and flies into a rage that lands Joseph in prison.
