Role Description

Uncle Marvin: (Supporting) a broken down Vietnam veteran and POW survivor who developed a serious heroin addiction during the war. Since returning to the States, he has kept his life as simple as possible, pledging the only allegiance he has left to the drug and slot machines at the run down Indian casino on the edge of town. Marvin has known Drew since he was a boy and acts as a surrogate guardian for the boy. Despite Marvin's shortcomings he is incredibly outspoken and loyal. Overcome with apathy, Marvin is convinced that the reason for his continued existence is some kinda of sick punishment God has bestowed upon him for refusing to live as a man of religion or average civilian. While Marvin's appearance and perspective on life may be skewed, he serves as the most reliable and honest character in the story.
