Billie Holiday Cover: strikingly beautiful, known as "Lady Day," has a unique and soulful style of singing, her masterful interpretation of music makes her one-of-a-kind, her voice and phrasing has been acclaimed as the jazz voice of the 20th century, is unaware of the profound impact her extraordinary talent will have on the history of music, the character of Billie Holiday in this musical play is fully committed to her emotions and song, she is complex, tough and tender, fragile but strong, passionate, sincere, and believes fully in her convictions, over-exaggerates at times, but it is innocent with aspiration, the desire to self-protect and avoid fear, when she laughs, it’s rich and full, witty, with raw, sharp humor, can laugh at herself without shame, heated and emotional when upset; on stage role is cast, seeking cover only.
