Seeking a full-time marketing & public relations director. A non-profit community theater founded in 1953, Lake Worth Playhouse’s mission is to provide entertainment, education and opportunities for artistic expression through volunteerism and community involvement and support. Companys states; "The successful candidate will build Lake Worth Playhouse’s visibility and impact through marketing, advertising and public relations initiatives."

Responsibilities and Skills

Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional materials, playbills and activities; develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing programs; expand and develop marketing platforms; determine and manage the marketing budget, maintain contracts with local media; work with other key staff members to best coordinate initiatives for upcoming programs; facilitate and coordinate press interviews; work with media outlets to publish timely company information, press releases, brochures, and other materials; develop and maintain relationship with local media contacts; develop marketing collateral for upcoming programs; create and place advertising in local media outlets including events, print, radio, online and television; work with key staff members to coordinate upcoming special event activities; maintain and build the Playhouse brand; maintain Brand Strategy Focus; work with Development Director to provide marketing elements necessary to grant requirements; work with Development Director to maintain current grants and solicit upcoming opportunities; solicit advertising from local businesses for main stage playbills and film screen; manage and update website with upcoming program information; manage and update social media presence on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube; develop Social Media outlets to remain to industry standards; entry Level/2-4 years of professional experience in marketing and/or public relations or related field; demonstrated success in marketing and/or public relations; excellent communication skills, both written and oral; bachelor’s degree required, Marketing related field preferred; knowledge of South Florida media opportunities preferred; knowledge of computer programs Photoshop; Illustrator; InDesign is preferred; website building skills preferred; ability to work occasional nights and weekends during productions and special events; a professional and resourceful style; the ability to work independently and as a team player, to take initiative, and to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time.
