Casting the Norwegian Cruise Line production of "Legally Blonde." Production states: "The Norwegian Getaway is Norwegian Cruise Line’s latest ship! In addition to this brand-new production of 'Legally Blonde,' entertainment on the ship will include 'Illusionarium,' a dining/entertainment experience devoted to magic and illusion, a water park with five slides, including a freefall drop, two twister slides, and a multi-level elevated ropes course, and a Grammy-themed venue as part of NCL’s partnership with the Grammy Awards. Foodies setting sail can feast in their choice of 26 incredible dining options, including one of Celebrity Chef and Food Network star Geoffrey Zakarian’s three dining concepts: Ocean Blue by Geoffrey Zakarian; Ocean Blue on the Waterfront and The Raw Bar. The end of each cruise will be marked by a fireworks display at sea. Ports of call on this fantastic new vessel include: Phillipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Nassau, Bahamas."
Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations
Contract begins Oct. 26, 2014 or Nov. 1, 2014 travel to Tampa, FL; rehearsals begin Oct. 27, 2014 or Nov. 2, 2014 in Tampa, FL; board ship Dec. 6, 2014; contract ends June 6, 2015. Note: Norwegian Getaway, ports every week in Miami for seven day cruises to the Eastern Caribbean.
Compensation & Union Contract Details
Pays: $850/wk. min. (ensemble); $1000/wk. min. (lead). The producers are seeking both union and nonunion performers for this production, but no union contract is currently planned. Union performers should check with their union before accepting any work.
