Casting "Lies My Father Told Me," to be presented as part of the National Yiddish Theatre's 2013-14 season. This new musical based on the Academy-award winning film makes its U.S. premiere Off Broadway this November. The show is both a whimsical and moving coming-of-age story following three generations in an immigrant family on the Lower East Side during “The Roaring 20s,” when American immigration pushed forward in its final wave, and an assimilated country pushed back on immigration even harder.
Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations
Rehearsals (for Zaida, Younger David, Harry, and Annie only) begin Oct. 14; Rehearsals for the full company begin Oct. 21. Performances run Nov. 10-Dec. 15 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center in New York City.
Compensation & Union Contract Details
Pays $450/wk. Equity Folksbiene Agreement.
