Role Description

Duncan / Mesrou: (Lead) one actor for both parts. DUNCAN ("Macbeth"): The good King of Scotland whom Macbeth murders in order to attain the crown. He has a saintly, stately and dignified presence but is perhaps not the wisest of rulers, one who trusts all outward appearances. MESROU ("La Dispute"): An intricate role; he has to seem like a warm and supportive tutor to the four young people who are the subject of the Prince’s cruel experiment – but he knows (and the audience knows) that all along he is doing the devil bidding.
