Production Description

Casting "Mad Blood and Other Beauties," for the Philadelphis Fringe Festival. Producers state: "Looking for emerging talent to join a new theatre company in its first production at the Philadelphia Live Arts/Fringe Festival. The production is a play inspired by the unspoken characters of ‘Romeo and Juliet.’ Set in a night club and told from the perspective of Rosaline (Romeo's first love), Valentine (Mercutio's brother), and Queen Mab, revealing another side of history's most famous love story. The famous Capulet Masquerade is recreated and modernized making the story more accessible to a 2014 audience. Shakespeare's text and contemporary language are juxtaposed in a piece that uses contemporary music and designs inspired by steam punk/ Modern Elizabethan Bondage / and club fashion."
